Job Site Analysis: Ergonomic job analysis is the onsite evaluation of the physical requirements of employees in specified job categories. Job analysis is completed by professionals specially trained to accurately measure the physical demands of the work. Analysis includes measurements of weights, distances, lift heights, push and pull forces, number of repetitions per task and evaluates the positions and equipment used to perform various work tasks. Job analysis can be done position specific or company wide depending on the needs of a given organization. The results of job analysis can be used to: · Identify high injury risk areas, · Generate ergonomic recommendations that can prevent repetitive motion and other work related injuries, · Define the physical components of job tasks that can incorporated into job descriptions and transitional work programs. · Serve as a base for ADA compliant employment testing by defining the essential functions of the job.
Spirometry Spirometry is the measurement of the functional lung capacity of an individual. Companies that are involved with production, transportation and or use of substances that lead to significant exposure to airborne particulates are required by law to test their employees on a yearly basis. Integrating spirometry testing into a Post-offer Pre-employment program can assist in identifying individuals susceptible to respiratory problems and document pre-existing conditions. |
