WORK-SITE SERVICES

Work-site assessment, consulting and education services are an effective adjunct to the employer’s safety management program. These services can save employers time and costs, while increasing safety and worker productivity.  The employer’s safety management goals are enhanced by the addition of selected work-site services.

Assessment, education, and selected treatment interventions can reduce the frequency and severity of musculoskeletal injuries, thereby reducing resources directed to workers compensation costs.

Clinicians work with employers to develop a plan that integrates with the company’s safety program.  Both generalized and individualized programs may be implemented.

In the case of individualized situations, clinicians assess and educate on-site, to help the employee understand the specifics of their personal injury prevention strategy. Some employees do not fully understand how their body is interacting with the job requirements or applicable equipment involved in their jobs.  FUTURES REHAB clinicians observe the individual during their work performance in order to assess sources of any problems, work practice behaviors and postures which may contribute to initial symptoms of difficulty.

Thereafter, individualized education and applicable interventions maximize that employee’s understanding and follow-through of safe work practices.  If a symptom has already been experienced, this education can prevent repeated symptoms and discomfort, thus preventing of an injury.

Services include

  1. Both general and individual Ergonomic Assessment and Consultation
  2. Job Analysis
  3. Employee education and training
  4. Health and fitness activities
  5. First aid and educational interventions before musculoskeletal symptoms become reportable injuries
  6. Following Physician Prescription, provide Injury Treatment Interventions, as applicable.

In the event of injury, FUTURES REHAB Physical and Occupational Therapists address ongoing musculoskeletal   contributors to the cause of the injury, rather than focusing only on the immediate symptom/s. Therapy programs provided in this manner reduce episodes of re-injury and contribute to more lasting therapeutic benefits.

Injury treatment is also available at the Santa Rosa FUTURES REHAB clinic.
